Hi

I have a MSI 6870 1GB graphics card, not bought from OCUK, in August 2012.

It stopped working yesterday, no output to my monitor and the motherboard has a RED VGA warning light lit.

So it bust.

Question is how do I know what the warranty period is and is it worth going through the process?

Or should I use it as an excuse and just buy a 270(X) which I think will be a good upgrade....?

Thoughts and no digs about buying from the wrong place......I know better now!

Assuming you check that the PSU is working, and hasn't burned any capacitors that give power to the graphic card yes?

Have you tried the card on another PC?

I have an old card......a 5750 and that is working fine in the motherboard, PSU is Antec and less than a year old.

Not sure if my son tried the card in his machine........will ask him later.
