Hi Guys,

I would really appreciate some help with spec's for a gaming pc, I just need help knowing what I need to buy to make a good pc to be honest building wise I'm sure I can manage it but actually spec'ing a pc is not my strong point.

Budget wise i have about £1000.00 - 1500.00 budget and I'm only needing to get the parts to build as already have a screen, keyboard, mouse etc.

I also have a 6 month old overclocked EVGA Titan X graphics card already so am looking to incorporate that into this build.

I don't mind using Ryzen if people believe it would be better, but if anyone thinks it would change or effect set up in anyway then id stay with intel. I need a copy of windows as well and any advise on what wiring items I need would be a great help. as I said its going to be my first build and so am looking to try and make the most of it.

Its going to be used for Gaming which i would like to be able to have the settings on the highest if i would be able to.

If anyone can advise on what i should be buying and point me in the right direction it would be such a great help.

Thank you very much!

hello, what resolution and refresh rate is the monitor? and are you just going to be using it for gaming or will you be wanting to do things like streaming, editing or coding as well?

Intel has the edge in most of these games at 1080p/1440p. The gap should be a bit smaller at 4K.

The 550W psu is enough for a single gpu. If you wanted to SLI in the future then go with 750W.

You can go with a standard SATA SSD (Samsung 850 EVO) if you want it a bit cheaper, and obviously case is personal pref.

My basket at Overclockers UK:

Total: £1,301.92
(includes shipping: £0.00)

If you did want Ryzen then it is just a matter of swapping out the cpu (R7 1700)/ X370 Motherboard and Ram (DDR 2400 - DDR 2666 seems to be the sweet spot for Ryzen). You would also need an AM4 bracket from BeQuiet for the cooler or whichever manufacturer you go with.

Thank you all for getting back to me,

Partymuncher - The Titan X is coming from my Work PC as its over powered for what im needing and ive changed it for a Quadro P4000 for rendering instead. but the build that it was coming from was a Dual Xeon Build costing just over 5000.00 so cant really start ripping it apart any more for parts lol.

Monitors ive got three, they are below.

Main PC Screen (Sometimes Game on This). https://www.overclockers.co.uk/phil...led-monitor-black-5yr-warranty-mo-02b-ph.html
Gaming One & Two ( Currently ). https://www.overclockers.co.uk/acer...widescreen-led-zeroframe-monit-mo-119-ac.html

Gaming / Streaming and possibly Some Small Video Editing but i have a separate Mac for editing really already set up.

- Thanks for the advise, Any changes or anything before i push the button anyone?
