Ok I am really stuck now, upset and angry.... I have been building my new WC PC (log in sig). I hit a first snag when the PSU I bought went pop. I got my new PSU through today and have been working solid to get this PC up and running tonight.

But well you guessed it hit a brick wall again... The PC will turn on all lights and fans come on, the pumps start up and swish the water around, I can hear the HDD's whiring away. So.... why am I not getting any display on my monitor ????? Im not even getting the start of bios. The PC just's sits there doing its thing. But still no boot up.

I'm lost my guess is it might be the graphics card ? I have 3x 480's. I really hope its not them because taking it all out would be a pain in the ass. I've read on internet it could be memory ? I've not tried taking any of the sticks out though.

Anyways... I was hoping maybe someone here could give me some ideas. The mobo looks fine thats all lit up. The LED error thingy says there is not reporting any errors according the the manual.

I've had to take a break from it now because it is giving me a headache and I am just getting annoyed now.

check the basic things first, ram seated correctly, all wires in properly. not sure about that board but you could also try booting up with the onboard instead of the discrete cards.

all else fails take the battery out and see what happens.

I'm guessing you tested everything before you built the rig?

I must say I forgot to check the warning lights on the GPU's. Will do that with the post code thing do you mean the LCD light number thingy ? If so it gets to number 30 which according to the ASUS Maximus guide means reserved for ASL. But doesnt move from there. The Ram looks seated properly I guess I will pull them out and try re-seat or as mentioned else where on the forums try it with one stick at a time.

My PSU is 1250W (OCZ ZX) so I would like to think that it would be able to cope with my setup. Everything was tested with the exception of RAM (didn't have a mobo that supported the stuff I bought), the SSD, Mobo and CPU. Motherboard seems ok I mean it still stays lit up and well looks ok. CPU no idea yet (and I dont have another 1155 mobo to test it with either)

Another quick question and might be stupid but it is more aimed at watercooling. With this setup for some reason when I first turn on the machine it turns on then after about 20 secs reboots then stays on fine after its reboot. Is this normal ?

might be a cold boot issue; mine does it every now and then (but it's gigabyte and x58, but i'm sure the same applies with asus and the fancy new SB chips) :)

haven't got a clue what reserved for ASL means... maybe try googling that and see what comes up?

have you tried plugging your monitor into a different gpu, and also tried it without the SLI bridge in place?

I had the same thing last week building my new system with a P67 Maximus. Sometimes the post digits would get to B3 which I think is SATA related but I was also getting one of the reserved codes. Pulling the battery for a minute solved it straight away.

There are also 3 red LEDs near the 24 pin connector, one for boot device, one for VGA and I forget the other one. These should light up and go out during a successful boot but will stay on if an error is detected. Might help you narrow it down.

Yay it's working now :D memory wasn't seated properly :p I hate installing ram the flexing of the mobo is such a put off. Just installing windows now. Finally feels like I'm making progress. Thanks for the help though people oh and that led thing by the ATX was really useful tbh I really did not notice them. It was shining on the RAM one so my face lit up when I saw that.
