***NEW subject 3rd post on***

Ive been offered a tower. Now I dont want this, but I wouldnt mind the mobo (Asus Crosshair IV formula).
Problem is, the guy doesnt want to sell for less than £600....and fair play, I think its worth it, if not more.
Now I dont mind spending £50-£100, as the mobo's worth that anyway, but Id need to know if the other parts are worth £500+ used so I dont go into loss.

AMD 1075T
Asus 2GB 5870
WD 'raptor 150GB
Titan fenrir HSS
Bitfenix Collosus
Laing DDC 18w pump and res top
360mm rad (generic)
Bitspower 5870 nickel block (supposidly 1 off???)
EK supreme V1 CPU block

If you lot could give me your estimates.

Sorry if this is in the wrong section, as I know theres a members market.
If it is in the wrong section, could the mods please move/ delete (no point moving it to the members market 'cause I cant read it :P)

*Please note this is not a for sale thread, nor a gauging interest thread*
Just to cover my ass :)

im not sure if its worth £600 or not, but the more important question is 'can you spend £600 in a better way?'

if you could tell me what you plan to do with the computer i can tell you if its worth £600 or not

*edit*
also, what mobo is he selling?

The mobo is the Asus Crosshair IV formula AM3 socket OCUK shop linky for BD compatibility later.

Id then just sell on the rest of the computer to recoop costs.

I can get £600 in a shot, but Id have to pay it back pretty quick, hence asking for rough esitmations of the above to see if its viable.

I was planning on buying a high spec 1155 mobo and a cheap CPU to fit and wait for ivy to be released. If it flops Ill then get a 25/2600k as theyre beasts.

EDIT:
I just realised I strayed away from your original question :P
The computer will be used for demanding photoshopping, CAD and movie editing (CAD for me, PS and ME for GF doing media). Maybe some gaming when skyrim comes out, but not until the GFX card is updated.

i was going to say that with 6 cores the 1075T might be slightly competitive against the 4 cores of the i5 2500k in heavily multi threaded stuff, hence me asking what you did with the PC. however, i was a bit wrong in my thoughts:

the only reason i would get the 2nd hand PC your looking at is if you thought you could sell it on at a higher price, because the difference in the processors is astounding, and for £600 you could easily get the i5 2500k rig
