Help prioritising game traffic for DSL-2640R

Hi,

Due to the rather abysmal local telephone infrastructure, our ADSL connection is only 1.5Mbps if we are lucky. I like to play games on the connection, and my flatmate likes to stream video. The streaming of video seriously messes up my ping online and makes playing games very difficult.

We have a D-Link DSL-2640R ADSL router supplied by Virgin Media. I've tried setting up QoS on the router but it doesn't seem to be working.

I've tried setting the ports according to here: https://support.steampowered.com/kb_article.php?ref=8571-GLVN-8711

I've set up rules for LAN QoS and Wireless QoS, there doesn't appear to be an ADSL QoS.

An example rule I have set up:
Source IP: My machine IP
Subnet mask: 255.255.255.255. Strangely I can't set 255.255.255.0 which is my actual subnet mask. I don't know if this is causing the rule to not work.
Destination IP: Set this to my default gateway, but I can't seem to set it to 'any'.
Destination mask: 255.255.255.255, same problem as before.
Source and destination port range: 27000:27030
Protocol: UDP

Appreciate it if someone could give me some advice as this is quite frustrating as the streaming just eats up all the bandwidth.
