Hi Guys

Got my new PC parts today and stupidly assembled everything completely before flicking the power switch - only to find it won't POST and it just keeps restarting.

I've removed EVERYTHING and it's basically......
Motherboard (Gigabyte GA-Z170X-Designare Intel Z170)
Intel Core i7-6700K 4.0GHz (Skylake)
Team Group Vulcan T-Force 16GB (2x8GB)
NZXT Kraken X62 AIO Water Cooling Unit

I removed the RAM and still the same, I get a whirr of the fans on AIO Radiator and the logo appears on the Kraken before it restarts itself with no bleeps. If I remove the usb for Kraken then the same happens, but the fans on radiator go 100%.

I'm kinda stuck and it's either the mobo or the cpu I reckon. Is it worth removing the Kraken, removing CPU, reseat and assemble?

First thing I'd do is reseat the CPU and check the TIM. Make sure the AIO is fastened correctly. It could potentially get up to thermal cutout temp in a split second (as it did on my mates years ago when he wired the fan the wrong way round).
Next I'd remove the BIOS battery for a few mins, I always do that before a new build anyway.

I would go with slugs suggestion, reseat the cpu, and then have only one stick of ram in the cpu (limit the amount of possible issues)

question are the fans for the kraken plugged into the cpu fan header? this could be another issue as i know my motherboard complains about it on boot if it isnt plugged in.

Have you connected the 8 pin CPU cable? I can't make it out in the video.

Edit. Looked at the photo, looks like you haven't.

I don't see any memory either.

Oh dear! Looks like I totally overlooked the CPU power, I don't know how, although it's been years since I assembled a PC. I had already removed the AIO cooler and assembly of it was fine. Put some arctic silver on CPU and fitted AIO and RAM - Boom! She boots

Cheers guys
