Hi All :)

I have recently purchased some new memory, well actually everything is brand new however I seem to be having problems getting the memory to run at the advertised speeds. I have purchased Corsair's 2 x16gb (32GB) DDR4 Vengeance LPX 4000Mhz. I would like to run it as close to the 4000Mhz speed as I can but I cannot get the system stable with anything over 3100Mhz which is really frustrating me at the moment. I have only tried using the 2 XMP profiles on the motherboard at present including manually lowering speed until stable. Would anybody be able to let me know if i am doing something stupidly wrong.

Many thanks

My Specs are

CPU: 9900k
MOBO: Asus z390 Hero XI
Cosair 850w Psu

Remove the OC. SO default bios and try to run XMP.

If this is not working slowly move down the dividers until one is working well. Most likely you will need more than 1.25v IO and SA to run 4K with 2x16gb. Leave these on auto initially and dial in if the mems are working.

Thanks I'll give this a bash. Pretty sure it's not my OC as I had same problems when running defaults but I will try again to be sure. I'll have a play with those voltages you mentioned. Never really had to play manually with Ram before as the XMP had always worked previously before so I'm a bit nervous but if I remain cautious i should be ok I guess.
