i have just got an asrock 4coredual vsta mobo
pentium d 925 3ghz cpu
1gb ram
and a coolermaster 430w igreen psu

i have 2 hdd''s running 2 dvd drives
3 80cm fans and 2 cold cathodes

is this psu powerful enough???

i think it isnt seeing as i can type this all on it with 2 dvd drives 2 fans the cold cathodes and 1 hardrive disconnected.

i was using it all with it all connected and then all of a sudden it shut off.

i thought there was a problem with the electric but nope. so i tried to tunr it back on, all of a sudden it turned on then off, so i looked at the light on the back and it was lit.

i dont know what this means :S

please help me

just found a program to teel me how much my computer is using

and its saying a total of estimated 159watts including the monitor (which doesnt run off of the psu.

well we managed to get it tested and it seems to be that the ram is dodgey, as when i tried it in my mates on its own his pc booted up eventually but it was very sluggish and often failed to respond.

and when i put his ram into mine it worked right away..

could the psu have caused this or could the ram have caused the psu to detect a problem and shut off???

oh and the ram will be sent back as soon as i get an rma number

also the psu is only 3weeks old.
