Hey, i want to upgrade my graphics card to a BFG 9800GT OC (im kind of restricted with my budget :) ) but i only have a 400W PSU.

Now i bought a CWT 450W psu, the model is CWT-450BDP if thats any help. As i don't know much about PSUs in general i thought i'd ask, is this going to be any good? I know it dosen't have a PCI-E power connecter, but i can use the adapter that comes with the card.. after trying to do some research i'm worried about the Ampage?

Thanks for any help, Matt.

Well i have a 375watt PSU and mine works fine *touch wood* no restarting or errors.
Then again mine has a PCIe power connector and is a Dell XPS PSU.

Dont know if that helps.

thanks, i was hoping for a little bit more.. as i don't know the quality of my PSU, i was just told that 'CWT was good for the price' and if i got anything slightly cheaper then i was risking all sorts of things to do with my hardware.

CWT make the corsair VX 450 and other corsair PSUs soid imagine that id would be fine for a 9800gt if its as good as the ones they make for corsair
