Can any of you please post the CPU score that you get in 3dMark06 as well as your CPU clock speed/FSB etc.

Currently clocked at 3.33GHz and Im getting around 47xx using Vista 64bit.

Hex is getting around 52xx using XP at the same clock speed/FSB.
Surely 500 points cant be just down to the difference between Vista and XP?

TIA :)

I got 4677 in x64 Vista at 389x9 (3.5ghz).

In XP I got 5834 points at 414x9 (3.725ghz).

I don't have scores at the same speed from both of them, but it's pretty clear that Vista does give a lower score.

Wow that is rather significant Cob. Thanks for the clarification.

3.5GHz isnt miles apart from 3.7GHz, but the difference in score is nearly 1200 points, which Im guessin not only due to the contribution of the extra 200MHz.

So would it be safe to say that my CPU score is "reasonble" considering taking into account the speed and OS?

It's better than mine at 3.5ghz, so I'd have to say your score is awesome ;)

Tho mine does seem a little low.

[email protected] V64-Ultimate. xp still beats vista in some cases, have a look at this anandtech article (posted here already) to see some of the differences on even newer h/w.

xp's a mature o/s, goodness knows that description can't be applied to vista just yet, but the 64-bit versions pretty good for me, roll on sp1.
