help re polarising filter please

what would be a suitable polarising filter for my 18-55mk2 is cannon lens please.never used one before but someone said they are useful for certain conditions.

Almost essential imo for landscapes involving large bodies of water - it eliminated surface reflections and makes water transparent.

Otherwise, increases sky contrast (can do in PP) and reduces water reflections off leaves, reflections off windows/glass etc.

E.g: taken with polariser photo, water is transparent so reefs are visible. Otherwise, water would be reflecting the sky.
