Top part is G N Looked like it could be G H but the line is clearly raising from bottom left to top right. But it could just be the smear doing that - try both

The bottom one is clearly a angular shape. not a V or U due to the tops

I would hazard at Q but not sure about that angled line from top centre to mid left. could also be a 6? Does the rest of the code have any special symbols other than numbers/letters?

No, it's a WIN activation code off my old case but it's in bad condition, it's been driving me mad trying to figure out...

N is also an unacceptable character H and M didn't work nor did Q, 6, 8. Problem is it's my only Win key so 20 odd days to figure it out or splash out for new...which I really don't wanna do.

First one id definitely not an N. If it was you would see the diagonal line on the bottom right of the N and you dont. Compairing it to the second set of letters it could be an M?

the second one is almost impossible to guess but maybe a C?

Good call on the M, Im dumb this morning:D

I'm fairly sure the first is an M due to there being quite a few in there. Only problem with that is I've tried every character and number in that other spot and it's not working....so I'm at a loss.

what looks to be rubbed off on the second number? does it look like the bottom curve could continue if it wasnt rubbed out?

Looking at it enlarged on my picture, it doesn't look like the other 6's the curve in the upper left corner isn't the same at least to my eyes.

Although compairing the first missing letter with the M in the second picture im not sure its an M anymore. the right hand line looks like a straight line down and not a point of the M

With the scientific application of paint

I have marked the parts that don't quite over lap in yellow. and not touched any of the smearing.

Seems to fit for a M
