Help registering a lapsed domain

There's a domain I'm after and after a WHOIS lookup it looks like the registration has been suspended. It was due for renewal on 22/05/10 and was last updated on 24/08/09 according to the lookup.

There's only a name listed as the registrant, no address, so I can't get in touch with them.

After an online chat with the registrar they said that until the registrant says either way whether they want to keep the domain or not it will be left in limbo.

I asked how long until it's released as surely they can't keep it in limbo forever and they said a minimum of 99 days but there's no maximum

Can anyone advise the best way of trying to secure this as soon as it becomes available, if it even will become available. Especially as if it is released after the 99 day period that would be the end of this month.

Yep, it's a .co.uk

And that's the kind of thing I was thinking of but I don't know of any reputable companies that do that.
