Help, registry cleaning etc

Any program that cleans registry and unwanted crap in ur PC? used to have ccleaner but dont work on 64bit vista, any other good programs?

oh yes it does. Grab the most recent version.

ToniArts EasyCleaner might also do the trick, not used it under Vista x64 though.

The registry, unless it's actually causing issues leave it alone.

Seen so much damage done by 'registry cleaners' and never once seen them actually do anything good.

my brother used one our parents pc, it wasnt too bad, just showed up all the things with "errors" and let you pick and chose what to delete, which i find much more useful than it just deleting everything by itself.

I use Revo Uninstaller so when i uninstall a program it cleans the registry as well so don't need to clean registry separately

And it's freeware

and yes CCleaner does work on Vista 64 bit i've been using it for week (version 2.20.920)

ccleaner / regseeker, but as mentioned before using revo uninstaller when removing things makes life so much easier.

Yes, regcleaning is a relatively pointless task. It frees up a couple of kilobytes of diskspace and is potentially risky. Unless you're running a 6 year old installation of XP, in which case it might be worth a go....
