Now I feel a bit embarrassed here but I need help!

I got a new Sata DVD today works fine just put in my graphics card dvd works a treat.

Now I'm trying to format my HDD and re install Windows, I've tried going to control panel and clicking reinstall Windows there. Upon reboot it gets to the Windows 7 screen makes me select language then says it can't find a DVD.

So I try booting from DVD first to see if that makes a difference and it does it gets further but pretty much only gives me the options of a repair which is an automated thing.

Anyone got any ideas at all please?

-edit-

Strange thing is when in Windows it doesn't auto load the 64 bit disk, however I put in the 32bit disk it picks it up. So I'm thinking the disk might be dead however why can I boot from it at start up :/
