Hey guys, ive just received my Foxconn 590 sli board today and im having some trouble. I need to put my Big Typhoon on the motherboard but im having difficulty. There is a bracket on the back of the board which supports the CPU i think. The thing is, i dont know how to take it off. There are nuts stuck onto it and this stops me from connecting the cooler because the bolts that came with my big typhoon are too long.

Anyone had this board and managed to solve it?

I can post a picture or 2 if needed. Any help would be great. =]

Thanks

The mobo's with backplates i have seen have all used a double sides sticky sheet to hold them in place, if you have a new backplate for your cooler to go in its place use a hair dryer to heat up the back plate and in turn the sticky stuff used to keep it on wich will then soften and become a lot more managble.
You may need a fair bit of heat from the hair dryer but you wont damage the mobo with a run of the mill one, just dont use anything to pry it off just persuade it with your finger tips!
