Help req: Laptop battery died while iTunes syncing = wiped phone

Hi folks

A friend in work was using iTunes to sync his 3GS and went for a cuppa, he came back and the lappy battery had run out and somehow in doing so managed to wipe his iPhone in the process.

Any ideas how he could get his stuff back on to the phone?

The laptop is fine itself so hopefully its possible.

iTunes should have made a backup at the beginning of the sync.

connect it to the same pc, open itunes, then try and restore it if that dont work you will need to start a fresh
