im about to buy the Asus Crosshair V Formula AMD 990FX (Socket AM3+) DDR3 Motherboard with the G.Skill RipJawsX 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C9 1600MHz Dual Channel Kit.

the ram will work with my hd 6970 and 1190t?

if not can you recommend any 1600mhz or above for around 60 pound, thanks

Yes, all DDR3 12800 ram is compatible with that chipset and AMD. Intel chipsets have some issues with voltages but none as far as I know with AMD.

This is not entirely true.

Memory makes very little difference in a Sandy Bridge system. Although the recommend voltage is 1.5V, people have tested with 1.65V+ and have not experienced any issues.

Even long term, it is unlikely to make a huge difference.

i might go with the Corsair Vengeance 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C9 1600MHz Dual Channel Kit (CMZ8GX3M2A1600C9) [CMZ8GX3M2A1600C9] instead

from going what nkata said, im assuming it will work
