Help running a 12v DC device

Been searching google and can't find anything.

Does anyone know of a connect that can connect to the 12v PSU plug to run things like camcorders, phones etc.

I have a couple of security cameras, the cables that come with them have three leads

1x Video
1x Audio
1x Power

its needs a 12v DC 5.5mm power adapter to run them. figured it might be easier to run them off the PC

You could probably make some if you bought the parts for a component supplier.

Use a female molex. Yellow is +12v and black GND 0V

Actually a very good idea ... I can stop using my transformer if I clip a spare molex to my camera PC...

Good thinking.... 12v psu's are expensive

They really aren't. £5 from an online electronic components store will get you a 12V wall plug power supply.

One of these might be useful if you want to leave your case side panel on as well.

Depends on the Amp rating you need. Otherwise, just go for it and make an adapter for it.
