Hello,

I have a 24" Hyundai W240D (PVA Panel) @ 1920x1200 which I am pleased with but it's getting old and I want something larger. I'm looking for a new monitor with a higher resolution and larger size. I would love to get a 4K monitor but they seem to be in their infancy at the moment and don't meet my requirements unless I am spending thousands so I think I'll wait a few years for those to mature. My requirements are:

- Resolution greater than 1080P, so QHD or greater
- High quality display panel (don't want TN)
- 27" or 29"
- Minimum 60Hz
- Suitable for both photography/photo editing and hardcore gaming (I use an AMD 7970)

I have a i1Display Pro for calibration. I don't really have a budget, but don't want to spend thousands. The AOC Q2770Pqu seems to get great praise on this forum, does it meet all my needs? I hear there is moderate amount of ghosting, lag and motion blur during gaming, is this true?

Thanks for any help

After going back and forth between the AOC Q2770Pqu and BenQ BL2710PT, I decided on the AOC due to better 1920x1080 performance (if I ever used a console), better blacks and it’s £100 cheaper too. The BenQ has a slightly faster response time but not by a whole lot. I hope I made the right choice. In a few years, when 4k monitors have matured, I will shall upgrade.
