Help Selecting Monitors

After months of thinking about it, I think I am about ready to put my order forward for my new rig.
I have everything selected except monitors. I only know that I want 144Hz.

Considering both 24" and 27" to run dual screen for some gaming as well as 3D CAD design work.

The 2 monitors I have narrowed it down to are:

24" Samsung Curved

27" Acer 1440 UHD (Does not seem to be released yet though)

Guess the main question is, which is better, Samsung's quantum Dot technology or a higher resolution (2560x1440) that is on the second Acer link?
(Anyone know the release date for this)?

Ideally don't want to spend much more than £400 per monitor, but also don't want to spend that much for the sake of it. If something equally good is available at £250, then big save!

Anyone advise on whats better? 1440 or 1080 with Samsung quantum dot?

I prefer to have 2 screens. Make multi tasking and CAD work a lot easier. I know I can artificially split an ultra wide screen, but I find it so much easier just to snap folders and windows into each screen.
