I imagine like some of you have purchased equipment that you do not need or are just selling old stuff.

I would just like to know how some of you advertise and sell your pc parts when you done with it.

If it makes any difference im trying to sell a corsairs 800d obsidian and e8600 DO however puting a notice in my local morrisons or newsagent doesnt really get much attention.

any help would be really appreciated.

I apologize in advance if i posted in the wrong section or do something wrong. (newbie)

just had bad experiences with ebay and havent used it for ages but if you think its the best place. i will give it a go. thankyou for the quick reply

I'd avoid auction sites, seems like a lot of hassle if there's a timewaster, and fees now are an absolute joke.

Get your posts up and advertise on the Members Market here, it's safer and cheaper! I only sell here now, with a few exceptions. In the MM, it tends to be that only newer stuff sells well, there's not much of a market at all for older kit, so bear that in mind, as it won't sell until it's at bargain bin prices. Your stuff will be fine though.

theres always places like second hand stores, or micromart.

althou its difficult to sell specalist stuff like that for a decent price. Most ppl who saw an advert for an Obsidian 800D wouldn't have a clue what it was, nor how much they cost

another option is to check if theres any computer fairs around, and if any of them will buy second hand parts, not all of them do, but u might be able to to find one

I would advertise on the members market because i seem to trust the indiviudals on overclockers and i dont really like or trust ebay (got ripped of before). But i cannot because of the post limitation (250). And i would mind selling the obsidian cheap because it better than sitting up in the loft. Do you think it would wise to ask a mod if i could advertise a product as i have been buying of overclockers for probably 2-3years.

Thankyou cycrow for the advice and alexhull24
however because a computer shop or fair is so far awar for where i live i could pay for the delivery of the case multiple times time i put petrol in the car. Il c if overclockers will let me put it in the members market.

I highly doubt they'll let you. The mods for the forums are mostly independent of the shop, so bear that in mind too.

Come here once or twice a day and make some posts in General Discussion or any section you may have useful input to and you'll have 250 posts quite quickly. There is also a time restriction too I think, can't remember what it is off the top of my head, but it's in the FAQ.

I doubt they will let me to. if they say no, i try the advertiser (thankyou subbytna) as i would prefer the customer to collect the case. If there are no nibbles il see if i can help anyone with their technical problems in the forums and then put the case it on here.
Thankyou everyone for your advice, really appreciated.
