help setting up dual monitors :)

I have them both working, but I would like to know how to get a taskbar on the second monitor, and how do you make the main monitor the one on the right rather than the left?

and finally how do you have different wallpapers on each screen?

Use Ultramon m8, superb dual monitor software which will do everything you want

Or just use the Windows one which is perfectly adequate..well is for the 2 machines I have multi displays here.

You can't

ultramon is the best i know of, i use it too.

Didnt like windows one, was extremely chewy with my monitors, ones rubbish though!

As someone who uses dual displays for work, I do not need different backgrounds and fine with taskbar on main display. I hardly even look at my desktop, too many windows on top.

I expect they just mean display settings, i.e.:

Start / Control Panel / Display

If you open this and then go to the Settings tab, you should be able to see both your monitors, and you can drag them around to switch which is the main monitor.

yup spot on radderfire.
I use dual monitors both at uni and at home, and with ultramon mine at home are sooo much better to use, i love having the 2 taskbars as I often have quite a few browser windows open(i used tabbed browsing too!) and a few word/powerpoints open and then my main production application. So much easier having 2 taskbars.
At home for just general use its great too, MSN on 1 window and browsing etc on other, or movie on 1 while working/chatting on other. Love ultramon to bits

To switch the side which it's on if you're using windows xp when in the resolution set up there should be a bow which has a big box of one and two, you can click on this box and move it to either side
