I have two 320GB drives that I would like to set up as RAID 1. They are both IDE drives. I have read the instructions on my motherboard and on boot, both drives are displayed on the screen where I should be able to press Ctrl + I to access the RAID menu. Am I only able to RAID SATA hard drives or is something not set up right?

Specs below, thanks.

Unfortunately the motherboard only supports RAID on the SATA ports (just had a look throught the manual). Also you will need to enable raid in the bios to be able to use it.

(I assume you are talking about the motherboard in your sig)

Okay thanks for your reply.

I'll have to look into getting an IDE to SATA converter for them, or an aditional controller. I don't trust Seagate drives so really want them in raid!
