Hi all,

I am struggling to find a way of setting up PC and 360 to both allow sound without having to switch leads etc.

As you can see, the problem is I only have 1 input for the phono leads. Its really awkward switching between the 2 at present as I have to move my desk etc.

I dont know much about sound related stuff so if you can offer any advice it would be most appreciated.

Thanks

Get a Phono Switch Box, I dare not link to other online retailers as per the rules of this forum, so just put 'phono switch box' into Google and check out the results, you shouldn't have to spend too much, not more than £20.

The idea is you plug the PC and 360 audio connections into this switch box and then one phono connection goes to your speakers. You just hit a button on the switch box to change between the PC and 360, just like you would if you have two inputs on your speakers.

You're brilliant guys :) Never thought there was such a device available.

I was also thinking on idea involving mass amounts of cables and still could not get my head around doing it :) The simple solutions are always the best ones.

Thanks

Should cost about 50p each.

That would have been a good alternative, i think, but it seems like I would need to keep my pc on whilst I game on xbox also would have caused more cables.

I've just got back from an electrical store and purchased a phono box and I am going to set-up now, will report back.

Thanks

No you wouldn't, it's a physical device that just lets you plug the PC and 360 into the speakers at the same time. Far less cables than a phono box :)

lee described it wrong.

You could be right, but i still fail to see how I would have both channels, as far as i can tell that device acts as a doubler, but i would only be able to double either right channel or left? unless im missing something obvious :p

The phono box is is really nice device though and is working very well.

edit: actually i think i see how it could work, i would plug xbox+pc left in left channel and vise-versa?
