So, thread number 3.

Sky have sorted my line out, and its great now, stable speeds at around 14mps and nice low ping (bar the odd spike)

Im now trying to sort out my wireless network to get the best out of it as its not ideal with the standard sky moden (D-Link)

I have just bought a Belkin N router (300mbs) to use as a wap and boost the signal. Only problem is I have no idea about how tro set it up as one.

I have found the function to turn my sky router to modem only mode, so where do I go from here?

Im using a Sweex 300mbs pci-e card I got from OcUK, PC is upstairs and modens/router down.

Just like to add, thank for the help on my prior two threads re sky, I am finding this section more helpful than any other I have used in the past!!!

You just need to enter your isp details into the router, but you'll probably need your sky username and password.

Just backup the routers config then open it in notepad, they should be in there :)

I dont want to use it as a router though, as if you replace skys modem, your on your own if anything goes wrong with your connection!

Just want to set it up so that when turned on, the router will act as the modem, and the Belkin router will act as a access point. I cant use the Belking router as a full riter anyway as I have one for cable connections.

As I already said, you need your username and password from the netgear in the belkin if you wish to use the netgear as a modem.
