Been looking at building a top end gaming pc, i would like it to be eyefinity on 23-24" monitors, also like it to run high settings and high frame rates, budget to spend is up to £3000.

Any help would be grateful.

Looks fairly good tbh. If your just gaming then lose the 8gb ram and get 4. Can save £70 there. Unless you want the e-peen value of a lot of ram?

Also wait for 6990/590's to come out before spending out on the system. See what it does to prices, if anything.

Looks good!
i would think about maybe swapping the H50 for either a H70 with 2 noctua fans (quiteter and cooler) or a high end air cooler.

also maybe swap the i5 for a sandybridge i7 K edition. (as you a looking for an expensive build)

also swap the vertex 2e for a vertex 3 ( 120gb for 200 quid and double the speed of the 2e @ sata III)

other than that it seems fine, though if youre not overclocking your 6970's then i'd get 2 rev 1 6950s and unlock them and you're saving 100 quid

not sure about the monitors - try get ones with aas thin bezels as possible - with your budget there is a more expensive option of a (samsung i think) triple screen with ultra thin bezels and it is all on 1 stand ;)

i would also add a storage drive as you will likely run out of space on the single 120gb drive quickly ;)

Couldn't agree more but if you feel the need to build the pc soon then i would recommend this :

If you wanna go with a closed loop cpu liquid cooler then get an antec kuhler as they have been getting better reviews on the net then the corsair h50 .

My advice, don't spend that much on a PC just for gaming.

If you're aspiring to become a "professional" gamer, then you're probably pretty good, you'll get sponsored one, that much is unecessary to be honest. Go buy stocks and shares and make money off it, or even stow it away for a house or car.

Unless your rich of course..

Bit of a pointless post from me really, but hey.

From your own original spec - only thing I would change is the case.

If you've got the money, go top of the line and go BIG.

And the reason I went for the MSI twin frozr 6950s is that as you will notice I have a 6970 and they run quite warm on more than monitor as the clock speeds idle at 500mhz. So certainly think about getting as cool a case as possible and same with the cards - hence the MSI choice I made.

If your gonna spend nearly a grand on monitors then forget eyefinity and get the Dell 3011 instead.

Higher resolution, better panel and no annoying bezels!!

Thats a lot of money, i take it, i would not need two graphics cards then ?,
I no i said i could spend up to £3000 but would like to buy cheaper if poss.
