anything you'd change on that? ideally it would be cheaper but anything up to £850 is welcome
 
go for a lesser priced case
i would say lose the corsair water cooler but it is a nice piece of kit so...keep it

plus if you go for a lesser priced case (you really dont need the haf x man) then you can put it towards the corsair h70 altho the h70 like the h50 is unneccsary lol
 
I'd get a cheaper case, and spend the savings on a 5870.

And get a cheaper CPU cooler (something around the £30-35 mark will do pretty much the same job), and get a quad core 955.

you can still do a fan overclock easy on that system dont need a h50 - depends on the noise level - h50=quieter

you know what scrap the water cooler. get a fan cooler
get a cheaper case
 
Above build by RJC is pretty much the same as what I had in mind. If you are willing to go up to £850 as you said, then you could afford a 5870, and you could go for an 890GX mobo if you want crossfire possibilities, otherwise the mobo above is fine.

You're not really guaranteed to unlock cores, and even overclocking a quad core 955 without piling on the volts, you can easily manage temps with the air cooler listed above. No need for the h50 really, especially since some folks think its no better than air coolers.

Am I missing something or is that MOBO just really good value for money?

Crossfire AND SLI...or a mix of 2 cards, USB 3.0, SATA 6GB/s, PCI-E lanes running at x16/x16, and only £99.99?!
