Hi there, check my signature for my current setup. Basically, got some spare cash lying around, 1400 to be exact. I was thinking of overhauling, going DDR3, I7, GTX295 etc. Firstly, just wondering if anyone thinks it's worthwhile, the cash really wouldn't go anywhere else worthwhile, secondly, whether these are the parts I should upgrade too. Basically just thoughts etc. If anyone is wondering I'm upgrading because I'm bored of my current setup, have the cash and frankly this setup is just a little mediocre at handling what I throw at it. Overclocking isn't much of a possibility as I can't stand screaming fans 24/7. Possibly go watercooling? I don't know, again, hit me with your thoughts people +D XXXX much love, merry new year :)

Also, if your wondering how I have delta cooling but I can't stand screaming fans, hence why I have 2 rather large paperweights now'a'days =D All of the overclocks in my signature have since been removed and everything is at stock. Hence why performance isn't blistering these days :(

OK, seems like some good ideas. One idea I did have was to upgrade to a w/c setup and just go with the updated gfx card (a 295). Not sure if I'm allowed to say on here, but because my brother lives in the US I can hopefully cut a deal on that which should make that a fairly economical upgrade. This would however be my first watercooling setup. What's the noise output like on the cooling part? I'm guessing there are fans somewhere in the mix to recool the water? Also, could anyone spec the current best w/c stuff around? Again, many thanks for your input guys! X

Also, just to confirm, the 295 is out Jan 8th right?

I understand I still have quite abit of potential to be tapped out of this, but not from my graphics card, unless I w/c. Any overclocks on this card were done through the catalyst control panel and I found it to be unstable at any point where I'd see performance improve. So my thought was, switch to water, then upgrade GPU to the 295, then move over to i7 when prices drop... good idea?
