Help speccing a gaming PC ~£1.2k

I've had my old gaming PC for about 4 years now and looking to upgrade, hoping to spend around £1.2k max for something that will last me a similar amount of time. Ideally current games on max settings, I don't mind having to drop down to medium settings for new games in a few years.

From my basic research I'd like to go with a Ryzen 2700x and at least a GTX1060/equivalent. I'm pretty new to all this though so feel free to tell me I'm an idiot for whatever reason or swap those out.

I already have two monitors which I might change out at some point, any recommendations would be good though.

Sounds good, thanks both! Will wait until payday but that all seems doable with a 750w unit too. I may have a little more than I thought coming in, would the 2700x be solid future-proofing, or is there only a small difference so overkill?
