Help speccing a trading PC

Hello,

I would like to build a new PC. I'm not great at knowing what the best components are so I was hoping someone could help me spec a new PC.

My budget is around £1,000. I already have 4 monitors, a keyboard, mouse and speakers, so I don't need to include any of those in the cost. I also have a decent case which I think could be reused, but I'm happy to buy a new one if needs be. My current case is an Antec 900-2 Ultimate Gaming case.

I will be running 4 monitors so the graphics card needs to be able to handle 4 DVI connections. I would like it to be as quiet as possible as I will be working on it, and background noise can put me off when I'm trying to focus on trading. I won't be gaming on it but it does need to be fairly powerful as I will have many memory intensive applications open at once.

Any help is greatly appreciated. :)

Thanks,

Gary

Thanks for the suggestion MiSJAH. Being a complete idiot I originally said that I needed 4 HDMI ports, but I actually meant DVI. I've changed my original post to reflect this. Given this change would you still recommend the same spec?

I also forgot to mention that I already have a 1TB hard drive but I will want a SSD for booting from.

I also have a DVD RW so I don't need that.

I think that all I need is the following...

Motherboard
CPU
Graphics Card
RAM
SSD
PSU
Cooler

The budget for all that is £1,000.

If you're not interested in any gaming, then it may be worthwhile taking a look at some of the matrox graphics cards. They're excellent for multi-monitor displays and have superb 2d image quality.

Or the Nvidia Quadro NVS... ;) they are purposefully made for that specific use.. Or even stick a couple of Geforce 610/620 :)
