So yes as the title suggest I spilt tea on my old faithful mechanical keyboard and not its gone crazy! Corsair series, multitude of colourful lights now flicker across her and the keys are sticky (sugar from the tea!).

Dried out for roughly 12 hours, wiped down with a damp clean cloth..

I've been told/read about submerging in water/soda water/special liquids you can buy etc but that just doesn't feel normal to me, like you shouldn't put electronic goods in water haha!

Has anyone any advice? Been in a similar scenario?

What can I do to get her ship shape again....

This is why i banned all food/drinks from the living room :/

If there is nothing i would ebay it and then buy another and ban the drinks bar water in there. You did say old faithful after all maybe it is a sign haha. I wonder also would an alcohol cleaner suffice? Maybe some 99% iso and let it dry out quick? A Hoover and some ISO might be the job and a long drying process.

With the old mechanical keyboards, you used to be able to run them under a tap then leave them in an airing cupboard for a few days and then they'd be fine. It seems yours is a little more advanced, so I wouldn't do that.

If you want to try to fix it, the keys are the easy part: just pop them off and wipe them clean. But you need to clean the board on which they sit, so you'll have to disassemble the keyboard to extract it, and give it a good wipe down first with a damp cloth and then with alcohol (as it displaces the water). Don't scrub; wipe gently. And remember that fluid may have flowed to the underside.
