Help! Squeal on boot

Hi all. Just assembled my new system as per sig. As soon as I power up there is a constant loud squeal, all fans start up but then the front and back case fans immediately stop. No signal goes to the monitor but the POST codes cycle through various figures on the IP35. Any idea?

Could be a PSU issue. Have you got a spare you can try?

Yes I can try a different one tomorrow. Is this common?

3D cards normally make a pretty big squeal if they don't have the power cable plugged into them.

If it was a noise shutting down with a 8800 card I would have chimed in PSU, as the alarm on the cards go off if PSU kills power too quickly.

In your situ, I would check with another PSU 1st.

Getting to a post beep at all or merely just cycling through the LED post numbers?

Tried resetting CMOS and reseating all components?

Ok I'm officially stupid. I didn't have the power cable plugged into the 8800. RTFM right? Thanks all and thanks Zefan!
