Hi

I need to buy an LCD screen, as I am now based in China. However, even tho most computer items are built over here, they seem to be only for export, and the local shops have very few of the latest bits to choose from.

I have narrowed my search down to 2 screens :

Acer AL1916W widescreen LCD, 1440x900
or
Viewsonic VX922 19" conventional size, 1280x1024

The Acer is slightly cheaper, but I'm not sure how capable it is at games.
I play mainly BF2, but I do a lot of surfing, and will need it for work as well. I believe the VX922 is awesome at games, but is it still useable for working on?

Any suggestions would be much appreciated - I haven't seen any comparisons of the widescreen Acer with the VX922!!

The VX922 is still fine for working on, the heavy application of overdrive used to boost the response time doesn't have any adverse effects in this regard. The VX922 is more responsive than the 1916W thanks to overdrive and is arguably the fastest TFT in the market right now. Would be a very good choice if you're a gamer :)
