Help tell my friend what 'Sapphire' Is??

Im trying to tell my friend to get a 6950 instead of a gtx 560. But he says he doesnt trust the brand 'Sapphire'. He thinks sapphire is like ATI, nVidia. Can you help me explain to him what Sapphire is and do to graphics cards?

The three founders of ATI were friends in the university. A said "I'd do development" and ATI was born; B said "I'd do PCB" and PC-Partner was born; C said "I'd do sales" and Sapphire was born. Rumors suggest that Sapphire and PC-Partner still hold shares mutually, but no idea if Sapphire or PC-Partner still holds any share of ATI after AMD bought it. Maybe not. That's why PC-Partner started Zotac to make NVIDIA cards.

Tell your friend that Sapphire to ATI is just like EVGA to NVIDIA.
