Help Test My Webserver (now spam my forum!)

Evening all,

I think I've finally got my webserver configured correctly :D
Could I please ask that some of you kind folks try the URL's below and post your results.

http://www.moshweb.co.uk
http://moshweb.co.uk
These should open a blank page with the titled "Moshweb.co.uk" with the text "Moshweb.co.uk"

http://freakish.dyndns.tv
This should open a blank page titled "freakish.dyndns.tv" with the text "freakish.dyndns.tv"

Many thanks.

LOL you are all correct in that I turned the machine off at about 10pm last night lol. Need to silence it before it can run 24/7 lol.

@xirokx:
The server itself is a little Celeron 667 with 256mb ram and a 20gb hdd - cost me £35 of the MM.
If you're going to be sending 6000+ emails a day (you lil spammer lol) then I'd definately reccomend it. I'm using Ability Mail Server 2 (which also has support for multiple domains :D). Whilst it does have full SMTP capability I've been advised by fellow OcUK'ers to forward all outgoing mail to my ISP's mailserver (see This Thread - post 10) as apparrently some mailservers (at the recipients end) don't like dynamic IP addresses and will block the message :(
I would definately reccomend home-hosting to anyone who has the patience to get it running. If only for the fact that you can do whatever you like on the server (subject to T&C's as stated in THE LAW!). Plus you know that everything is safe and you are in control.

HTH

Put a proper website on it and see how it runs ;).
I've been trying to come up with a good domain name to host my personal website. The best I've got so far is www.oced.co.uk (short for overclocked:D)
I've got nearly 2 weeks of christmas leave starting Friday so I'll be spending a fair bit of time knocking a site up together.
That said, I might install phpbb  on www.moshweb.co.uk to see how it runs :p

As promised...

I've just done a really quick 5 minute install of PHPBB2.
I've created a spammers forum (no registration required) and a forum where people who feel like testing registration can post.
Feel free to tear it apart coz it will be deleted by Xmas Day!

If you could all let me know how it runs in terms of speed etc I'd appreciate it.

Cheers.

Edit: Will try and keep it all running 24/7 but chances are it will be turned off at 10pm tonight, up again at about 4pm tomorrow.

Ah, cool. Did you setup PHP and MySQL ontop of Apache manually?
I tried, but it was too much hassle.
The good people of these here forums advised me to go to with XAMPP. I don't really like using packages like that but I scrutinised all the configs and secured it up the ying-yang so everybody's happy :p
