HELP, There are black lines accross the screen

All of a sudden there are like think black lines going accross my screen. they are not like thick black but like faded black edges. I can still use pc but It's annoying because I keep noticeing them.. now I dont know weither they are the monitor or my graphics card. I am using a 5850 twin frozer II
and my monitor is the 21.5 inch benq model...


ANy ideas?

Ok this is just an update. I took a print screen and it looks to be my graphics card. Because the lines are appearing on that. I'll try to get the print screen up on here soon.

Whats a good temp for a GPU to be at?

ON APB Reloaded it gets to 51 degrees when on max settings....

So do they appear for example on your desktop?

Because the game screenshots don't look wrong, in the second SS the lines are extremely faint, far more faint than the first SS which would suggest it's something in the game.

If their are no black line on your desktop and the temperatures are fine at load: nothing to worry about, probably just the engine of the game.

Yeah there are NO lines on desktop. I'm still going to check other game (BAttlefield 3) and see if it does it there. but yeah Hope it is just the game LOL. because I don't particular want to have to get another g-card right now LOL

Na they appear everywhere. But I took a print screen on the road because it was easiest to see them there.

But granted it would be quite amusing =D

Just a random question. I use CCC's (Catalyst Control Centre) overdrive feature for my CPU and GPU is that a good way to overclock or should I do it manually. also i was thinking about water cooling and wither it was worth doing...

Try taking out your graphics card, throwing it out of the window, and reinstalling it. Works all the time.
