Hi, I'm running a very similar system (A64 3700, 1 gig pair ram, x1800xt 256) and would like to compare results, I'm using 3d mark 05 though - getting about 8000 points (but people with similar specs are getting over 10k!).

just got 8301 with 3dmark 05....

looks like we got serious overclocking to do.... :)

cheers :D

Aha! Well thats reassuring - glad to know mine wasn't just going slow for some reason. Clocked my CPU up to 2.7ghz and I can get close to 9,000, but I think that's about enough clocking for me.

could you tell me how to do that.... :)

or did you use a guide....if so what was it....

have you overclocked your gpu yet....

and did you change your ram settings....

cheers :D

Well - I'mm by no means an expert, there are people far better qualified than I to advise you, I read the o/c guide here and read a fair few posts.
CPU's can be a little different so it's best to take things little step by little step, but the upshot of my settings now are:

Ram set to 333 in Bios 9runs at just over 400mhz when the fsb is up-ed)
FSB set to 245
Multiplier X 11
HT set to 4
Didn't touch the voltage.

Had a little experiment with GFX clocking using ATI Tool, but it's not very satisfactory as it doesn't remember settings at start up.
