Can I also add there is no such thing as 'ect' it is etc which is short for etcetera.

I don't speak Latin but etcetera is an acceptable derivative of et cetera according to many language authorities.

One day, someone here will be writing something important, a CV maybe, and will remember this thread and the guide and not make that mistake that loses them the job.
