Hello there ive just bought the following
Asus Rampage Formula x48 bought for good oc's
E4500 2.2ghz 200x11 VID 1.325v bought for the high multi
OCZ Platnium pc6400 800mhz 4-4-4-15 bought for low latrancys
Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro Rev 1 Took from old machine
Running with x-fi 8600gt 512 (soon to be 4870) and 4 hd's,2 dvd's off a hiper R 730w
Okay i would like to be able to get 3.6ghz on this chip maybe 4ghz but straight away i've got some problems
1. The bios iam totally confused by it all
2. The multi keeps changing from 6-11 even though ive disabled intel speed step
3. What are safe oc voltages for this chipset and cpu ? as ive serched the web and found people using the E4500 1.4v+ but what is the safe max ??and any serch for the rampage formula X48 comes up with the x58 versions
4. I am not a total noobas ive overclocked my i7 past 4.2 and my old amd 3700 to 2.7 but i dont know where to start with this please help been trying for the last 2 nights
If ive missed any thing just let me know and ill post it up thank in advance for any help
