HELP! tuning...

Hi all, i've been trying to plat Blackhole Sun, by Soundgarden. Now every tab i've read, says it's in drop-d tuning. I really don't think it sounfs right? I've tried drop E Flat and that does'nt sound right either.

Now i'm just plain confused.

Can anyone help me out???

Im sure quite a few of the tracks on Superunknown were recorded with the
CGCGGE tuning, off the top of my head though i cant remember if black hole sun uses it or not.

Looking around the best tab ive found is over on the 'unofficial soundgarden homepage' which is worth looking at, that does say drop d though. I remember when my old band played it the guitarist had a hard time trying to replicate the lesley speaker effect used on the actual song.

Well there's nothing lower than Eb there, so I don't see why you couldn't be able to play it, unless the TAB is wrong, and if you've got it off the internet, it could well be.

Thanks for the replies so far.
I can play the song in drop D, it's just when i play along with the origional track, i swear it sounds like the origional has been tuned up.

Oh well.
