Hey all,

I got my PC about 3/4 years ago and just recently upgraded my graphics card. However, as I havn't upgraded anything else since I'm finding it hard to play games. I can play Dead Island on 1920 x 1080 on full graphics but I get really bad fps lag after about 3 hours of play. This happens with all games I play and I eventually just have to play all games on low after a few hours of gaming.

As I'm currently in Sixth Form and don't really play during the weekday, I really bash my computer on Friday night and Saturday. I want a PC that will be able to cope with this 2 day gameathon.

Here's my spec:

Operating System - (Want to upgrade to Windows 7)
MS Windows Vista Home Premium 64-bit SP2

CPU
AMD Athlon 64 X2 5200+ 50 °C
Brisbane 65nm Technology

RAM
4.00 GB Dual-Channel DDR2 @ 301MHz (5-5-5-15)

Motherboard
NF-MCP61 (Socket M2 ) 40 °C

Graphics
SyncMaster (1920x1080@60Hz)
1024MB GeForce 9800 GT (Undefined) 37 °C

Hard Drives
244GB FUJITSU MAXTOR S TM3250310AS SCSI Disk Device (Fibre)

Optical Drives
TSSTcorp CDDVDW SH-S202H ATA Device

Audio
High Definition Audio Device

If you could give me some upgrade with the price, I'd be grateful. As I'm gonna ask for the upgrade for christmas anything within like £500-600 would be great as I'm also asking for the iPhone 5.

I want to be able to play games such as BF:3, Diablo 3 and GW2. I also don't need a monitor, mouse, etc.

Cheers ;)

any idea what case and psu you have ?

edit: spec'd to include new case, psu and hard drive (not sure how old your current one is), if case/psu are not needed could use some of the money to get 3rd party cooler like the gelid.

Do you think I could keep my current 9800 ? I got it last christmas and it wouldn't wanna replace it already :L

You're better off leaving it till just before you order, prices will change a lot by then.
Plus I wouldn't recommend anything on the list above.
