hey guys, ive struck a deal with the wifey and shes letting me go nuts on a graphics card, i currently have and MSI 580 twin frozr, which im selling to a friend whos upgrading

Looking for one of the best 680's, i have only ever had asus and msi cards, so my first instinct was to look at these

http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=GX-156-MS&groupid=701&catid=1914&subcat=2255

http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=GX-282-AS&groupid=701&catid=1914&subcat=2255

i think the asus (£530) price is about as much as i am willing to pay unless there's a huge difference in quality, like i say, ive never used other brands so if any one can open my eyes abit on the pros and cons would be great

thanks

Asus Top gets my vote as I'm biased as hell as I've got them,:D
they run cool under load and are quite fast out of the box.

Oh,good job to get the missus on side:)

you could save yourself money if you went for the gtx 670?

the performance on out of the box cards like the asus gtx670 TOP edition or Evga FTW cards are almost reference 680 speed if not better and they can over clock more still..

both cards i have seen for a lot less (around £350) than it would cost you for a gtx680.

and if you went sli it would still be more cost effective than one gtx680..

£670 (2 gtx670...asus TOP or Evga FTW)
vs
£520-600 (average decent 680)

even ocuk do a sli pack that is at a good price = £649.99
KFA2 GeForce GTX 670 EX OC 2048MB - SLI PACK

me iv always liked evga gear (best warranty coverage it also passes on when you sell them)

Just a thought.

the only thing i have done that is close to water cooling is having a H80 on my psu, i always wanted to water cool the whole system but i dont know the first thing, but i would love to water cool my next graphics card, thats also why i never thought about getting anything in sli/xfire

edit: if anyone has any links to a step by step guide on how to water cool would be great... along with a list of what i would need and what each part does, i tried googling it but still some things go straight over my head

EVGA all the way purely for the warranty and also you can change the cooler for WC and not void the warranty.

Besides, I have the fastest 680 on Overclockers (or that has been posted anyway) :p
