help upgradinh serial & ata motherboards

hi guys,
im considering upgrading to A8N-SLI Premium (which is actually out of the question as its sata) but my problem is that both my hdd's are just ata and not sata, i want to upgrade to at least a athlon 64 3500 mobo with pci express but i dont want to have to change my hdd's

can you recommend a motherboard which supports ata and pci express?

is there such a thing as a ata-sata converter?

All boards with sata also have the normal 2 ata channels so you can use your existing harddrives.

See the black and blue ata connectors, middle right, under the large white atx power conencter.
