HELP !!! (Urgent) 290x not being detected!

Enter bios, go to bios update screen, browse to USB drive, select file, let computer do its thing, twiddle thumbs, watch how 290x now boots, install driver, play BF4, get shot loads, turn off PC in a rage, watch crap Xmas tv.

Are you doing it with your new card? If so just use the 8800 for the bios update.

My 290 had a similar issue. Two things to try: bios update as stated before and getting the latest catalyst drivers. Also if you encounter a problem with your system freezing up after logging in (i.e. once start up programs start loading up), disable everything you can on start up and check what's causing the issue by re-setting start up apps one by one.

That card is all bent... Close to IO plate its like its bending up.. Wow i wouldnt use it in that state. I use a Prop to hold my GPU's up lol

Its not bent its the angle in which the picture is taken it is not lop sided at all.

When you look closer the card is sitting perfectly fine within the pcie and its weight is not causing it too hang. Also there is over 2 inches of room between the card and radiator infront of it.

EIther way CANNY GET INTO BIOS.

plug your Keyboard into a different port. If you're using the secondary USB controller it can sometimes only come into play @ windows boot. Try finding an Intel Controller port and using it in there.

Turn the pc off.

Open case.

Go to top right hand corner of the mobo

There is a white switch and a set of black buttons, press the second black button from the top.

I am finding it impossible to load into bios :\.

No matter how hard I tap del on boot up -_-

WHAT IZ DEEEZZ!?
You have to be fairly quick, soon as you switch on - tap, tap, tap, tap, tap on the delete key, you should get into UEFI BIOS Screen, I can still get in even using fast boot.

If you still can't do it, try tapping the 'End' key multiple times on bootup, that could bring you straight into Q Flash.

Also not been mentioned, make sure the USB stick is formatted to FAT32, then stick the BIOS file on the stick.

so let me get this right. an older card worked perfectly with everything you had in that system? then new card you don't see anything from the very start of booting? if so and others with your mobo are not reporting issues it's either card is faulty or somehow the card isn't getting the power it needs
