Help us not get rinsed for a scratch

My wife had a small ding today when trying to get out of a cramped vet parking area, and took off some bumper paint of a large SUV that was in the way.

The yellow bit at the bottom was the damage. The owner wants us to pay for the fix, obvs, but we have no idea how much something like that realistically should cost to fix and don't want her to try and rinse us, and rough ideas?

I wouldn't count on it being purely cosmetic - depending a bit on how thoroughly they look into it - even at relatively low speeds the bumper fittings could be bent, etc.
Geez, what's the point of these SUVs then if an A3 trying to maneuver out of a parking space could cause issues like that? I though they were supposed to be tanks, lol

That looks like pretty low ground clearance for an SUV. Even a Urus sits much higher and the front bumper design is different anyway.
Do you know exactly what car it was krooton? I'm just curious, not trying to pick holes in your story.
No idea, I wasn't there else I would have catalogued way more than a single picture, but my poor wife was pretty shook up about it.

I think the yellow is custom accents possibly as the lady said the paintwork was just recently done (though that sound sus to me).

Might be company car, or the car of the owner of a company, after doing some classic OCUK detective work, but no luck finding out the make.

Google street view the car park, you may find if it was done recently and they work there, the car can be seen in the car park.
No dice, old company address no longer active.
But I have found the driver on LinkedIn, lol, the internet is crazy if you know how to use it.

I just looked up the MOT to check if she tries to pin anything on us that was already existing, but we haven't heard from her yet, so maybe she is letting it slide?
