Help using CSS template

Is there a way I can use this template to redo my old site.

I've already made a freehostia account, edited the template a bit and uploaded it here, but I want to be able to have comments and an easy way to add posts. Kinda like a blog frontpage, but then clicking the Guitar Tabs link for example, would take you to a page like this, still inkeeping with the style though.

I've tried using it with Blogger.com but it only seems to work with xhtml.

I don't really have any idea what I'm doing...

Freehostia gives me 10 MySQL databases, but if it's going to take that much work I won't bother with it.

I know it might seem stingy, but I don't want to spend any money on it. It's not for anything serious site, just a small fan site for a band I like.

I'm not really set on that design in particular, but I do like the whole CSS/Web2.0 style.

I just though it'd be easier if I used a template and altered it to suit my needs, as like I said, it's nothing serious, I just want something simple that looks nice.
