Weird one this. My PC has developed an issue where every 5 minutes (give or take a few seconds) Windows has to recover my graphics driver as it says it stopped responding. Just to clarify I mean this... http://www.microsoft.com/whdc/device/display/wddm_timeout.mspx

However, it ONLY happens if I've resumed from sleep mode. Cold start or reboot, or even resume from hibernate and it's fine. Each time it happens I get a 4101 warning in event viewer as you can see...

Have tried several different Gfx drivers and even 2 different BIOSes, including resetting each BIOS back to default settings.

I guess the clue is the fact it happens every 5 minutes, but I can't work out why - any ideas?

Is your GPU overclocked in any way? I assume not since you have changed drivers a few times.

You could also try running powercfg -energy in a command prompt. You will need to run the CMD program as an Administrator. The above will create an html report in c:\windows\system32\energy-report.html

I found I had to copy that file to my Desktop before my browser would open it.

The powercfg -energy command scans your computer for any potential problems that could prevent normal sleep operation. It may not tell you anything useful, but worth a look.
