Just turned PC on and im so worried.

The case fans connected to the motherboard don't spin, the PC doesn't boot, only the fan connected directly to the PSU spins. The graphics card fan spins but nothing else!

What has happened, is my motherboard buggered?

Just ask if you need to know anything else, specs in sig.

in the rare case, it could just be the fans are buggerd, have you switched them around?

a lot of poeple would claim this is pointless, but its happened to me.

If the fans are buggered, my PC would still boot... surely?

This has never happened to me before... could it be the CPU??

does the cpu fan spin?

try unplugging all unnessecory (sp?) stuff, like case fans, HD's, DVD-RW's, sound cards and just leave 1 stick of ram in

Tried. Still no luck.

Reseated the CPU and nothing :(

Thanks for the help guys! Keep the suggestions coming :)

well

if all the cables are connected correctly etc,

next step would be to swap components with working ones, you got a spare PSU, mobo, gfx card lying around, or can borrow ?

sounds like mobo, everything connected to it is not working. got a spare computer you can try the other parts on?

my advice try removing the complete motherboard from the case and booting it on a work surface, i had a similar problem and all it was that my motherboard was shorting against my case! so try the state procedure and let me know the result

Ive got a spare PSU, Mobo, and graphics card which are the same. Also a different same-socket CPU. Should i try them all?
1 by 1, to try and isolate the problem yes, not swap them all at once :p
