HELP Vista wont boot without disc

hi guys just got vista ultimate, so installed formatted the drive etc, now it says disc boot failure everytime i boot unless the vista disc is in the drive although i dont press anything when it propmts you to, "press any key to boot from cd" it then continues to wionodws boot manger how to i get rid of this?, also there is no startup screen just says microsoft corporation then a green bar that goes across the screen there is no vista sign please help.

maybe because u have cdrom as 1st boot in bios, try to set hdd as 1st boot

thanks ive tried that says disk boot failure and it is defo the correct drive selected to boot from

Hi on my MB as sig if I have the option "boot other devices" turned on in bios I get the same error and need CD.
Different MB to yours but just a thought.

ok theres no option in the bois for what it says in that thread i kniow get a different message when the vista disc isnt in there, says ntldr missing can i had this from the disc into winodws?
